Measuring Time

One of the most repeated conversations I have with the kids at the office in the afternoon:

Fisher: “Mommy, how much longer until we can leave?”

Me: “Fifteen minutes.”

Fisher: “Is that long?”

Me: “No.  It’s about half an episode of Sponge Bob.”

Fisher: “Whew!”

Why learn how to read a clock when you can gauge everything by the running time of your favorite cartoon?
