Weekend Round Up

16 Nov

There is no better way to start off a blog than with a good Fisher-ism.  Whoever coined the phrase, “Kids say the darnest things” was a genius…or, maybe he/she was just really observant.

(The scene opens as a family drives through the night on the way to a dinner date with family)

Fisher: “Look over there!  A police man has pulled someone over.  *gasp*  I wonder what he did?!”
Me: “I don’t know.  He was probably speeding.”
Fisher: “Ooo, that police man is going to give him a chicken!”
Me:  *snicker*  “Don’t you mean a ticket?”

So cute.  I love my little man.

What’s that?  You demand more cuteness?  Well, you’re in luck.  Check this out:

I walked into the living yesterday to find Jordan carrying Denny around in circles.  Now, before you utter the classic “Awwwww!”, just know that Jordan was doing this so Denny couldn’t bite his ankles.  It appears as though Jordan taste delicous to Denny and that Denny can’t help but nibble on his toes/feet/legs whenever an opportunity presents itself.  After a few minutes of being held, Denny stopped wiggling and decided that there was no way he could reach Jordan’s feet from such a great height.  Thus, he turned his attention to the outdoors.  How else could he annoy Jordan?  Why, bark at something imaginary outside, of course.  Feeling generous, Jordan obliged and carried him over to the door so that Denny could get a better “look” at the thing that wasn’t there.  Ahh, such love.

(FYI: As I sat down to type this up, I found that the octogenarian with which I work has conveniently spilled his entire glass of water in my chair.  The funny thing is that he doesn’t seem to notice.  The empty glass is sitting on his desk at this very moment.  *counting to ten*  There is nothing like a wet bottom to make the day drag by.)

The more I read your blog, the more the Jordan/Denny relationship cracks me up!And you should really have a talk with the octogenarian. :)
