Park Party

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y, NIGHT! Does anyone
remember that song?

Well, here were are, Saturday night and much to show for the day. We all got up early and headed to the DMV to renew/update our licenses…which
went surprisingly well. We managed to not look like death row inmates in our pictures. The kids spent a better part of the morning playing in their rooms. To your right, you can see Fisher “cleaning” his room. Hmm…looks questionable to me.

We ate lunch, and then laid down for a nap…which only lasted three hours. (oops!) I guess the DMV took more out of us than we’d thought.

After supper, the kids & I headed to the park with Denny in tow. Here’s a shot of the kids trying to straddle the center of the alley. Quite a difficult task, you know….requires lots of talent.

About halfway to the park the kids realized that I had my camera with me, so we had to stop for a quick photo-op. What can I say, the camera loves them.

We weren’t at the park long, before Grammy and Mr. Charles came to join us. Note that Grammy is holding a bag full of goodies, one of which she’d already begun to enjoy. Mmm, tootsie roll pops & caprisuns. It almost killed the kids to wait until our walk home to start on their suckers. They were already sweaty, not need to add sticky to the list.

Charles was also in charge of a quality insurance check on the tootsie roll pops…I think they passed. ;) (Look at Charles, he could sell them with that kind of pose!)

As usual, Denny headed for the nearest patch of grass to lay down in. I think he must have been pretending that he was in the Congo or something with the grass that high.

Of course, Jaden had to get in on the camera action…she’s getting to be quite the little photographer. Fisher swooped in at the last second to make this a truly awesome picture.

You’ll have to click on this picture to enlarge it. I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to show off just how hot they get when playing at the park. Poor Fisher, he was soaked but he didn’t care. :)
